Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen or The Big Buddha, is the biggest Buddha statue in Bangkok (not Thailand though). It is 69m tall and 40m wide. You can read the complete history of it HERE.

It is quite a phenomenal sight. Easy seen from far away it is quite unbelievable. Especially on a sunny day when it shines brightly. The head can be seen peeking out above the buildings

It is free to visit which is great and you can just walk around and enjoy yourself, take some pictures or just have some quiet prayer. It is an active temple so please be respectful.
