Public transport in Ao Nang and Krabi can be expensive. The taxi drivers are a rip off to be honest, and its totally unnecessary. Lucky there is a public Songthaew bus you can get. It leaves every often from Ao Nang beach and it goes to Krabi town/bus station/market. It is 50 baht per person. That is 1/4 of the taxi price. Pickup is at Tanta Pizza (easy to find on google maps)
