This is one of the most well known temples in Bangkok. Along with Wat Pho and Wat Arun this will probably be visited. It is part of The Grand Palace this is a quite sensational temple. Chances are if you are a first time visitor too Bangkok you will check this temple out at some point

The architecture and design are something that you really need to see. The huge statues are really detailed and a little scary. Especially the green one. There are several shrines here with different styles of Buddha, each one unique.

The star attraction is the Jade Buddha. This is a magnificently carved Buddha which has rotating outfits. No photography is permitted (photo taken from Google).

You can walk around and enjoy the buildings and the religious feeling. It does however get very busy here so be prepared. I suggest combining it with The Grand Palace.
