Chinatown is a popular tourist destination in Bangkok, and as such there are many hotel choices both budget and luxury. One of the popular spots is the Shanghai Mansion Bangkok, and this is because it is beautifully decorated.
1920’s Shanghai style it is very photogenic. And it is like stepping back in time. Fro the lanterns and paintings in the lobby, to the wooden beds in the bedroom. It is truly an authentic and classy experience.
The hallways and waiting areas are also gorgeous. This is a hotel where it pays to explore and look around.
The major drawback is the lack of modern amenities because it is keeping its authentic look. So no gym and no pool, and minimum technology used.
