The most popular coffeeshop in the city?

Located in 1979 complex in Futian district, Maan Coffee is one of the busiest and most popular coffee shops in the city, giving even the big chains a run for their money.  Situated over 3 vast floors, this has a phenomenal square footage for a café, and has hundreds of seats to choose from.  The interesting thing about this coffee shop is it always seems to have customers, and on weekends it can be difficult to even get a seat as there will be 300+ people here at peak hours.

But don’t let that put you off, this is well worth visiting if in the Futian Area.  With many comfortable seats, large tables, and big windows allowing lots of light this is a nice place to work on a computer or phone, and also a good choice for relaxing with friends or alone. You also get nice views of the lake from one side of the café.

Maan Coffee is known for its waffles, and they are very good.  Large portion, not too sweet and with a nice crunch these do a good job in a city where waffles are hard to find.  They are topped off with fresh fruit, cream or ice cream.

The coffee here is perfectly adequate, although it will never be amongst the best in the city, it is what you would expect.  Maan also does some more modern twists to coffee including ‘ice cube coffee’ which is incredibly refreshing.  Each coffee comes with a serving of sweet bread on the side.
